Sharda Scholarship for Academic Excellence 2026

Education has always been the cornerstone of Kashmiri Pandit heritage. Despite displacement and economic challenges, the community has produced some of the finest scholars, thinkers, and leaders. Yet, today many bright children from weaker sections struggle to continue their high-school education due to financial constraints.

The Sharda Scholarship for Academic Excellence is a community-driven initiative that channels royalties and proceeds from a new book launch into nurturing brilliant high-school students from economically weaker families in Jammu & Kashmir. Scholarship will be financed through the proceeds of an upcoming book, highlighting a unique initiative where literature directly contributes to education. By linking the scholarship to the book’s release, the initiative not only celebrates the power of knowledge and storytelling but also ensures that every copy sold translates into an opportunity for a student to achieve their dreams.

This scholarship is not just about financial aid—it is about restoring confidence, celebrating heritage, and investing in future leaders.

Objective

To identify, support, and mentor academically brilliant high-school students from weaker sections, empowering them to achieve their highest potential.

Selection methodology

Applications to be invited online. Evaluation based on academic record, need assessment, and personal statement.
